Yet another Dewey's coming up!

It's that time of year again - in 2 weeks, there will be another 24 hour read-a-thon!  I really have no idea what to expect this time, or how much I can honestly plan for. My Mom will have her final chemotherapy treatment the Monday before that, and she'll be staying with me through the week, if not the week after too. Should be interesting as to what really shakes out. I'd planned on being a prize angel and a cheerleader this time around, and with everything going on there's not way that that will happen. But maybe in October things will be back to normal, and I'll be able to do a bit more. Anyways, I'm just looking forward to my first RAT with an e-reader!

Hopefully I'll be back here soon with my list of potential reads!

  1. Hello, my dear RAT pal! Hope all goes well with your mom's last chemo treatment. I'm sure she's looking forward to having that over with. Maybe she'll be feeling well enough to join you for part of the Read-a-thon?

I'm committed to attend a political convention the day of the RAT (same thing happened 2 years ago - it's making me rethink my civic duty!), but am hoping to not miss TOO many hours. I already have my 10-book stack picked out (even though I have never read more than 3 in a RAT, I MUST have 10 books - OCD much?!)

I'm looking forward to seeing your selections. Less than 2 weeks away now - can't wait!

  2. Wishing your mom the best with her chemo treatment. I hope you'll have some time to join us in whatever capacity works for you. :) --Andi, Host

  3. Sherry Ann - glad you'll be around, at least for part of it. Darn that civic duty responsibility! ;) Having to have 10 books isn't too OCD, really. It could be worse, always think of that.

Andi - I'm so honored that you stopped by. Thanks for your kind wishes! I'm still planning on attempting the usual 24 hour thing, though realistically I know that staying up for 24 hours and taking care of her is not going to happen. But I'm still shooting for it! She said that if she's feeling well enough she'd like to participate too, so fingers crossed!
